Office workplace injuries

Today’s blog is concerning office worker injuries. A common place everyday situation often involves sitting at an office workstation all day long performing repetitive motion tasks, lifting objects from unusual positions, or focusing on a computer screen or other electronic devices. What happens is muscle strain and tension in the eyes, back of the neck and across the shoulders.  As the muscles tense, they shorten and pull on bones and joints causing pain and suffering, as well as postural distortion in the head and neck area.

An antidote for this pain is myofascial release techniques applied to the muscles which allow them to stretch, unwind, and realign to their natural position.  A massage therapist skilled in this area can relieve the pain induced by the repetitive motion tasks, including eyestrain.
